Sebastian Blanck (born July 18, 1976) is an American artist and musician. ==Life and work==
Blanck was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He is a founding member of the experimental electronica group Black Dice along with Bjorn Copeland, Hisham Bharoocha and Eric Copeland. On June 22, 2010, Blanck released a solo album called Alibi Coast. The album was released on Rare Book Room Records. He received a B.F.A. in painting from The Rhode Island School of Design. In 2001, he was a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome. Sebastian Blanck is married to the artist Isca Greenfield-Sanders. His father is Thomas J.J. Blanck, professor and chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at New York University Hospital. Sebastian Blanck has had numerous solo exhibitions including those at Baldwin Gallery in Aspen Colorado, Bjorn Wetterling Gallery in Stockholm and Werkstatte Gallery in New York. His work has been reviewed in dozens of magazines and newspapers including by Joyce Korotkin in The New York Art World, Meghan Dailey in Art Forum, Meghan Sutherland in Paper Magazine, Deborah Schoeneman in the New York Post as well as in the New Yorker and Women's Wear Daily.
